As a current goalie for Long Island University, Brandon Perrone has many years of coaching experience under his belt.He is the Long Island Rebels Goalie Coach. Prior to playing for LIU, Brandon played for Alaska Anchorage. Brandon returned to Long Island to be on the inaugural team when LIU became a Division 1 NCAA program.
Brandon played at St. John the Baptist where he won a State Championship in 2014-2015. His Juniors career started in 2014-2015. Brandon played for the Long Island Royals where he not only made “First Team” but also was named ‘MJHL Goalie of the Year’.
At 16 years old he went to play for the Texas Brahmas in the NA3HL where he made “Second Team”. Brandon’s statistics during that year were 1.73 GAA and .916 save percentage. With a record of 19-4-2.
In 2016-2017 Brandon played for Long Island Royals where he was named Assistant Captain and had a record of 14-0 with a GAA of 1.64 and 0.941 Save Percentage.
Brandon was recruited to the NAHL to play for the New Jersey Titans in 2016. His first year he played 21 games with a 2.79 GAA and a .904 Save Percentage, with a record of 10-7 . The following year, Brandon was named Assistant Captain for having such a strong leadership position on and off the ice. He played 33 games that year with a GAA 2.75 and .926 Save Percentage, with a record of 15-9-7.
In 2018-2019, Brandon continued his role as Assistant Captain. He played 36 games with a 3.18 GAA and .912 Save Percentage, with a record of 16-16-2. He earned the prestigious “NAHL Community Service of the Year Award’ throughout the entire NAHL organization.
Brandon continues to play for division 1 hockey at LIU and is paving the way to make hockey huge on Long Island.
